Can Take Two Take Out Activision And EA?

When gamers think of a publishing powerhouse they may think of companies like EA or Activision however often times Take Two probably isn’t thought of. However in a recent article written on IGN it’s very clear that Take Two is a publisher that could soon take over the publishing world.

In Take Two’s portfolio includes Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, BioShock, Borderlands, NBA2K, Midnight Club, Sid Meier’s Civilization, Mafia II, and Carnival Games. These titles rank among the industry’s most successful properties. By having such sought after intellectual properties under their belts it’s no wonder how they could see a net revenue of $354.1 million in their third quarter of the fiscal year.

Take Two isn’t just stopping there either with NHL 2K11, Sid Meier’s Civilization V, New Carnival Games along with downloadable content for Red Dead Redemption, Borderlands and Mafia II scheduled to be released by the end of the company’s fiscal year on October 31^st. It would not be surprising to see Take Two take over the big publishers in overall profits with all of the great titles that the publisher has been releasing.
